National squad training will start early next year with the top four ladies and men, and top two juniors short listed for the first training sessions.

The end of year Malta Squash national rankings are:

Mens: 1. Ivan Balzan. 2. Mark Gatt. 3. Peter Wirth. 4. Adrian Pace

Juniors Under 16: 1. Mark Seychell 2. John Cuschieri

Juniors Under 13: 1. Richard Puglisevich 2. Ryan Rizzo

The final squad selection will be made after the next ranking tournament at LivingWell on 8 January.

Junior squash is the main priority in 2005 and Malta Squash aim to continue the junior development program which started in September and hope to launch a new ‘squash for all’ program in January giving as many juniors as possible the opportunity to participate in several squash events. A brand new portable ‘mini-squash’ court will be in use by the end of January aimed at introducing squash to as many people as possible
