German-Maltese Chamber of Commerce president Henry J. Borg, said the new Lufthansa flight to Munich from Malta will enhance business and tourism between Malta and Germany.

“Following the daily flight to Frankfurt for over 10 years, the German-Maltese Chamber of Commerce welcomes Lufthansa’s announcement that their 2005 summer timetable will offer travellers a direct flight to Munich three times a week,” he said.

Mr Borg added that Munich is one of Germany’s main business centres and this new service will surely be of benefit to all those business people – both local and Germans – when travelling between Malta and Germany on business.

“This is without considering the great potential which the new Munich flight can bring about for the local tourism industry,” he said.

Mr Borg concluded by saying that he was very optimistic about the outcome of this new flight offered by Lufthansa, for the benefit of local business prospects.
