The Park Hotel has won a Gold Award for “Safety First 2004” from Thomson Holidays for its outstanding support and performance on health and safety. The gold medal event was held at the Savoy Hotel in London during the World Travel Market week. Two hotels, Park Hotel and Hilton, and one supplier, Edmonds Garage, represented Malta.

Charles Selvaggi, the general manager of the Park Hotel said this award was in recognition of the efforts made by the team at Park Hotel to improve on health and safety.

He explained: “This in no way means that we don’t have to do more but it is a definite boost for morale. Being acknowledged for something you have done is always a pleasure at any level and when you know that you are the only hotel in Malta to have won this award, then the satisfaction is greater.”

The Park Hotel in Sliema is one of the most popular hotels in the area. It caters for both foreigners as well as locals and is available for any type of function. Since opening it has become synonymous for the friendly service provided by the staff and for the high percentage of business generated by repeat guests.
