As an outcome of the recent upgrade of the popular SMS service go Chat, go mobile customers can now send an SMS to a maximum number of eight people and pay only two cents.
This is a result of an increase in the number of go chatroom users, which has now risen from five to eight members per room. The growth in chatroom members will now accommodate groups of friends that are made up of more than five people.
go Chat is a group communicator open to all go mobile customers. It allows subscribers to text chat via SMS with other users in the room. Those who wish to start using go Chat first need to check what rooms are available. In addition, they can even create their own chatroom. Subscribers can also check who the members in the room are, and invite new users to the room once they have chosen their nickname. Users will be able to send SMS at 2c each to all members in the room as well as view any SMS sent to the chatroom by the other members. Those who send an SMS to 2428 to enter go chat will now receive an SMS notification informing them that chatrooms will be hosting up to eight users.
go mobile subscribers say go Chat is a very practical way of keeping in touch with their circle of friends and is also ideal for organising a night out together. Another customer said that he finds go Chat very effective for expressing and sharing his experiences with his wife and friends when he is abroad.
