Go Mobile aids charity campaign

Malta Independent Friday, 4 February 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

Go mobile recently donated talk-time vouchers to a charity campaign organised by the Theology Students Association in aid of the Preventive Care Unit in the Archbishop’s Curia.

The Ready-to-go vouchers were awarded to people whose names were drawn every hour for giving donations during the charity event.

The philanthropic event Make my House a Home was set up on the university campus.

It was the fourth consecutive year that the Theology Students Association has held this campaign to raise funds for families in need.

Telephone lines were open for donations from RTK listeners.

Those who gave a donation were entitled to participate in a lottery draw whereby go mobile talk-time vouchers were awarded every hour.

This event continued to strengthen the bond that already exists between university students and go mobile.

The Preventive Care Unit supports families with financial problems by providing essentials such as groceries, clothing and, in certain cases, parental skills.

The Unit aims at strengthening the integrity of the family by helping parents keep their children at home and thus prevent their admittance into one of the Church’s institutions.
