Road Accidents

Malta Independent Saturday, 5 March 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

Minister Jesmond Mugliett was reported as having said that VRT tests failures happened as a result of beefing up the test.

May I point out that this is a good thing to do but, may I also point out that many accidents are taking place because of the state of our roads, and I am saying so because of a personal misadventure my son had in Marsa next to the Government Printing Press.

He had an accident after running into a large pothole he crashed into. My son pointed this out to the warden and believe it or not the next day the hole was covered, but my son suffered Lm600 worth of damages to his car.

So please it is better to repair the roads in the first place and afterward let there be heavier VRT tests.
