For the first time, leading German tour operator Neckermann (part of the Thomas Cook Group) has launched an eight-page flier with destination information and offers for Malta for summer 2005. The flier includes general holiday offers as well as specialised offers for popular segments such as English language learning, short breaks and so on.
The flier has been distributed to travel agents through the February edition of leading German travel trade magazine FVW International. In all, 33,000 copies of the flier have been produced. These will be distributed at travel fairs and through direct mail to consumers.
The production and distribution of this flier is a joint marketing initiative between the Malta Tourism Authority’s Frankfurt office and tour operator Thomas Cook/Neckermann.
Meanwhile, through another initiative of the MTA’s Frankfurt office, tour operator DerTour travel has published a Malta-only edition of its magazine ONTOUR.
DerTour is one of the longest established tour operators in Germany and enjoys a high reputation in the market.
