The Kellogg’s Special K Pedometer walk – a great way to stay in shape

Malta Independent Saturday, 14 May 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

Over 140 people turned up at Neptunes ASC in St Julian’s to participate in the Kellogg’s Special K pedometer walk.

The walkers were given the opportunity to count the number of steps they took with the exclusive Special K pedometer as they walked from Neptunes to Melita Marina on Manoel Island. There were also free prizes and Special K Bars – all in all making it a fun day out.

“We all know that keeping active and eating a balanced diet helps you maintain the shape you want,” said Jenny Xydeas from Kellogg UK. “With busy lifestyles and work/family commitments, many individuals find it difficult to raise their activity levels, but with the new Special K pedometer it’s easy.

“This small step-counter offers an ideal way to monitor one’s daily steps and can help motivate people to reach the daily targets they set themselves. Walking raises the metabolism, tones muscles and helps you burn calories – so coupled with a great tasting low-fat food like Special K it helps you maintain the shape you are happy with and feel great.”

Apart from enjoying a seaside walk alongside the Sliema seafront and engaging in some physical activity, participants received an exclusive Special K pedometer.

The Special K pedometer may be obtained by purchasing a 750g Special K pack plus any two other Special K packs from any local grocer or supermarket. The offer is available while stocks last.
