Masquerade Students perform in the UK

Masquerade Theatre Arts School has once again given the opportunity to two of its students to participate in an overseas production. Nadia Vella and Daniel Debono, both Masquerade-bred students, have just returned from a successful musical which was staged at the Prince of Wales Theatre in the UK. Nadia and Daniel played the roles of Lily St. Regis and Rooster respectively in a production of Annie.

This was an excellent experience for these two up-and-coming actors, as they had the great opportunity to work alongside professional actors from the West End such as Rebecca Veer who played Miss Hannigan, Jerry Hinks (Daddy Warbucks) and Katie Leeming (Grace). Direction was by Andy Reiss, while musical direction was by David Lane.

Nadia and Daniel were both finalists in NET TV’s programme L-Isfida, during which Masquerade was responsible for the faculties of music and drama.

These two students followed the success achieved by a group of youngsters from Masquerade who attended a theatre experience week in Stafford last year.
