60 Second Interview - Owen Bonnici

Owen Bonnici, works as an actor and produces and presents television programmes. He has been living in Vittoriosa since he was 13. He says proudly, that he is the uncle of four-year-old Tiffany and nine-month old Jordan. Owen started working as an entertainer at Rinella Movie Park, where he met Sander Agius. After Rinella closed down, he worked as a production assistant for the programme Mini Bugz. His first job as presenter was in Zinners, the prime time show on Net TV in October 2003. After that he presented A-70, the cool and fresh teens programme on Net TV. In April A-70 will be two years old. Since October 2004 Owen has been working with Sander Agius, Daniel Chircop and Claire Agius Ordway, in Zoo – the live comedy shows. Today is your last chance to see Zoo at the Mediterranean Conference Centre. However, there will be a more “intimate” show (including a Pasta Buffet) at the Suncrest Hotel, Qawra on Friday 17 February.

I’m a 22-year-old Leo born on 15 August 1983.

Single.

n What would you like to be doing in 10 years’ time?

Hopefully still performing in theatre. I have some cool ideas for new TV programmes – but they’re top secret for the time being. Hopefully I won’t be doing Teleshopping.

n What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Summer time – by the pool in a farmhouse in Gozo – sipping a beer.

n What is your favourite occupation?

English Language school leader – ‘cause you meet a lots of girls!

n What is your greatest fear?

Alligators, snakes and all kinds of reptiles.

n What is it that you most value in your friends?

Honesty.

n How would you like to die?

Hopefully while I’m sleeping.

n What is your greatest

extravagance?

Last month we were filming for our New Year’s Eve show – walking in Republic Street at seven in the evening wearing

boxers.

n What is your greatest regret?

Never went to work abroad.

n What is your most treasured possession?

My new house.

n Which talent would you most like to have apart from the ones you already have?

Singing.

n What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?

Loneliness.

n Where would you like to live?

Netherlands.

Hairy hands!

n Who are your heroes/heroines in real life?

Robbie Williams.

Stuck up people.
