Chiara, YADA, Mro Dominic Galea, Doreen Galea and Alan Montanaro will be joining Claudette Pace when L-Isfida returns to Net TV for a second season in October
After an absence of nearly three years, anticipation is growing for this new edition. Prospective participants were already waiting for the doors to open at 9am when applications opened earlier this week. All applicants must be between 16 and 28 and must choose an area of specialisation: acting, singing or dancing.
“Expectations are very high and we intend to meet them. We are putting all our energy into this project to make it more successful than the first edition. This is a team effort. We are all thrilled to be working together to produce good quality entertainment” said Claudette Pace.
Applicants will be judged by the tutors and the general public and the final 30 will be chosen to challenge each other over a period of 6 months. Regular events will be organised even for applicants who don’t make it to the finals, giving all students an opportunity to be part of a life-changing experience.
Net TV is providing the technical expertise which includes crew, direction and transmission. Although this is not an easy show to produce live on a weekly basis, the producers have learnt a lot from their first experience. All classes will be filmed and transmitted in the form of Reality TV style clips daily.
Felix Busuttil, with his large, energetic team from YADA Dance Company and the College Of Jazz Dance provide the programme with top quality teachers in the fields of Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet and Hip Hop. YADA will also provide dancers to help students during the challenges and to give weekly performances.
Chiara, Mro Domnic Galea and Doreen Galea will be in charge of the singing department. Wave Studios will also be providing all necessary backing tracks and recording facilities. Alan Montanaro with his team of established actors and directors will make sure the acting department is bubbling with talent and creativity.
There will also be surprise guests from overseas. These guests will not only perform on the programme but they will also be part of the teaching staff of the programme.
The over-all winner will win huge prizes including scholarships and cash to help him or her to better themselves further through training in Malta and overseas.
