“Not The Truth” is the provocative name of an exhibition of fine art photographic prints by UK/USA based artist Dr Joseph Zammit-Lucia. The exhibition will run to 15 November at Gallery G, 4 Ugo Mifsud Street, Lija and proceeds from sales are for the benefit of Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti.

“Provocative” appropriately describes the strong messages conveyed by this eclectic compilation of works, the like of which has not been previously seen in Malta. Exploring the interface between fine art and documentary photography, the artist creates striking images with an immediate visual impact and a strong social message.

Born in Malta in 1956, Joe (Beppe) Zammit-Lucia trained as a physician and gastroenterologist before co-founding an international company of which he was president and CEO for 13 years. He has now returned to photography as a third successful career.

The exhibition has been brought to Malta by Artissa (www.artissa.com). Gallery G’s exhibition halls and gallery shop are open to the public between 9am and 5pm weekdays and 9:30am and 12:30pm on Saturdays.
