A judicial protest was filed by Labour MP Helena Dalli and her husband Patrick Dalli against NET television’s news editor Louiselle Vassallo.

In the writ, Mr and Mrs Dalli said that during last Wednesday’s edition of NET News, the station transmitted footage of their private residence close to St Thomas Bay, on the outskirts of Zejtun.

They said the cameramen entered a field near the house in an abusive and illegal manner. They also said the footage was aimed at threatening them, since it was transmitted at the same time as defamatory comments regarding “scandal” about Patrick Dalli were being transmitted.

By means of the writ, Mr and Mrs Dalli ordered NET television to pass on all the footage of their private residence and reserved the right to take further legal action.

Dr John Vassallo signed the writ.
