The Livingwell Health Club at the Hilton has hosted the first day of the Charity Aerobics Marathon. Over 80 people participated in this marathon, which included spinning, step, and hi-lo aerobics.

The event was organised in conjunction with Cynergi and all the proceeds will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, the organisation that is working to understand, treat, and cure this hereditary disease, and to Amy Joan Zahra, the second-year engineering student whose legs and fingers were amputated after she was admitted to the ITU with a near fatal case of meningococcal meningitis earlier this year. The second marathon took place at Cynergi last Saturday.

Donations for these charities may be sent to either Livingwell Health Club at the Hilton Malta, St Julian’s, or to Cynergi at St George’s Bay, St Julian’s. Further information may be obtained by calling 2373-3401 or 2371-0700. For information about cystic fibrosis, please send an email to [email protected] Donations to Amy Joan Zahra can also be made by sending an SMS to 5061-7353 for a Lm1 donation, or 5061-8067 to donate Lm2.
