A man was conditionally discharged for two years yesterday, after pleading guilty to stealing a Cashlink debit card and a Bank of Valletta Visa card and stealing Lm224 by using these cards.

Robert Seguna, 27, from Zebbug, admitted stealing the cards from the Playmobil factory in Hal Far,to the detriment of Leslie Plumpton, on 1 July. He also pleaded guilty to defrauding Mr Plumpton of Lm224.

Handing down his judgement, magistrate Giovanni Grixti noted that Seguna had repaid all the money he had stolen and that he had been forgiven by Mr Plumpton. He conditionally discharged him for two years.

Police Inspector Alexander Grech prosecuted.
