The song Imhabba bis-sens has been chosen as the anthem for Youth Day 2007. The group, D X-Tremes – a group made up of young Capuchin monks, interpreted the song.

The contest to choose next year’s anthem for Youth Day was held at the Bay Street Complex earlier this month.

In all six bands participated and were judged by a panel of personalities of the local music scene. The participating bands were the Joyful Sounds, Footprints, Rise, SDC, Jurgen & Band and D X-Tremes, who each interpreted their own original compositions based on the Youth Day 2007 theme, “As I have loved you, you also should love one another” (John 13:34).

The song by Footprints, Triq is-Salvazzjoni, was awarded for best lyrics while the group SDC was also given a special mention for best interpretation of its composition Nissiehbu fih ghall-imhabba.
