The Festival of Satire Bla Kondixin will, for the first time, have its own matinee. This will be held on Sunday at 3pm at Sir Temi Zammit Hall on Campus at the University of Malta.

This sixth edition of this annual festival cracks jokes about various current issues. Whether it’s a crossed line between Dr Gonzi or Dr Sant and Caren (Ray Calleja), or Cikku l-Pakkett (Snits) recounting his experiences on the new bike lanes, or the innocence of seven-year-old Angolina and the Abbati with his Christmas sermon.

PN’s Peter Darmanin (Chrysander Agius) and diehard supporter Nena (Claire Agius Ordway) are counterbalanced by Il-Lajburist (Paul Portelli) who tackles the issue of party leakages.

To add more spice to this particular edition, a new array of zany characters portrayed by the Zoo team join the cast of Bla Kondixin. What presents and surprises will the Three Kings... errr... the three Richies (RCC, Richard England and Richard Muscat) bring with them for Christmas 2006? Brandon the Brand Malta Manager (Hector Bruno) and Gracie (Leigh-Anne Abela) as the nouveau riche land speculator with more money than class, will provide an evening of non stop laughter.

J.J. Da’ Lwaqt (Chris X. Grech), the presenter of the Ixtrina show, has the almost impossible task of keeping all these characters in control, while trying at the same time to raise a million liri.

Bookings can be made from St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity on 2122 3216 or 7963 1631 or by sending an e-mail to [email protected]. More information can be found on the event’s new website www.blakondixin.com.
