A doctor and another man, neither of whom can named, appeared in court yesterday on charges of falsifying doctors’ certificates.
The 83-year-old doctor pleaded not guilty to issuing a fake illness certificate to the other man on 20 January 2006.
Meanwhile, the 37-year-old man pleaded not guilty to having the certificate issued in his name.
Police inspector Joseph Cordina prosecuted and Dr Franco Debono and Dr Stephen Thake appeared for the defence.
