Malta Independent Monday, 15 January 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

Edward Firman has recently been appointed as London Economics’ representative in Malta.

London Economics is one of Europe’s leading economics consultancies. The firm specialises in the application of economics to public policy issues as well as a wide range of business matters. London Economics’ clients include governments, regulatory agencies, competition authorities, international institutions, law firms and private companies in over 80 countries.

London Economics’ areas of expertise include policy design and analysis, financial analysis and corporate finance, regulation, and competition policy and the firm has been commissioned to undertake studies in these areas by various European government departments, agencies and regulators, several EC directorates and private companies.

Examples of recent projects undertaken by the firm may be seen on its website www.londecon.co.uk.

Commenting on Dr Firman’s appointment, Mr Patrice Muller, a London Economics Partner, said that following Malta’s entry into the EU, the firm felt that it could provide a valuable service to Maltese government bodies and private companies in view of its extensive international experience in several areas of interest to them.

London Economics had therefore decided to establish a representative office in Malta headed by Dr Firman to facilitate the provision of its services to Maltese organisations.

Dr Firman holds a doctorate in business administration from Henley Management College/Brunel University and practises in Malta and internationally as a strategic management consultant. He can be contacted at [email protected].
