KRS Film Distributors are holding the first Children Cinema Day of 2007 on Saturday, 3 March.
On this special cinema day children will have a choice from no fewer than 17 films at a reduced price of admission of Lm1, while accompanying adults will be charged Lm1.50.
The films programmed for exhibition include comedies, fantasy adventures, dramas and no fewer than eight animated features.
The following are the films showing on the day: Charlotte’s Web; Flushed Away; Barnyard – The Original Party Animals; Open Season; The Ant Bully; Cars; Monster House; Happy Feet; Night At The Museum; Eragon Epic; Zoom; Rocky Balboa; Step Up; Goal 2 – Living The Dream; Stick It; Grounded; and Garfield 2.
All the films, except Step Up (12), carry either a PG or a U rating.
Children Cinema Day, now in its eighth year, is again being organised by KRS Film Distributors with the collaboration of the following cinemas: Eden Cinemas – St Julian’s; Empire cinemas – Bugibba; Embassy Cinemaworld – Valletta; The New Sun City Cine Palais – Marsascala; Tal-Lira Cinemas – Fgura; Citadel Cinemas – Gozo.
Film shows at all cinemas in Malta commence at 9am and will run until 7pm. The two-screen Citadel in Gozo will have children’s shows at 4pm and 6pm.
Booking for tickets at all cinemas opens on Friday, 23 February. Early booking is recommended.
A film mini-poster will be given with every child ticket purchased.
