Alcatel-Lucent opened a branch in Malta last Thursday in one of the Demajo Group’s sites
The new branch represents a real support for the company’s business development, covering a geographical area that belongs, together with Israel, to the Regional Unit (RU) Italy, headed by Andreas Schneider.
Malta, which entered the European Community a couple of years ago, undoubtedly has a strategic position in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, and can thus work as a potential bridge between Europe and Africa.
“I see Malta not only as a market in which to duplicate solutions already provided elsewhere, but also a market in which to develop and test the most innovative solutions that will then be replicated elsewhere,” said Andreas Schneider, vice president RU Italy.
During the opening ceremony, Gianni Bestetti was nominated Alcatel-Lucent Malta’s Country Senior Officer.
