Freeport Accident leaves man in critical condition

A man was seriously injured while working at the Freeport yesterday afternoon, police said.

The 57-year-old, from Marsa, was hit by a trailer used to carry containers at around 3pm.

He was taken to St Luke’s Hospital where he was certified to be in critical condition.

Magistrate Joseph Apap Bologna, who was informed about the case, appointed various experts to help conduct an inquiry. The Health and Safety Department was also informed about the case.

Police investigations are still under way.
