A young man was yesterday injured after he was hit by a horse in Xaghra, Gozo, the police said. The young man, who is around 17 years old, was leading the horse at around 7pm when for some reason it buckled and hit him, injuring him.

He was taken to Gozo General Hospital and was later transferred to St Luke’s Hospital for further treatment.

Police investigations are still under way.
