Malta Independent Saturday, 7 July 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

Symphonik, the Zghazagh Haddiema Nsara (Young Christian Workers) choir and band, will be performing live on Friday, 13 and Saturday, 14 July in an intimate setting at the WOW auditorium, Millennium Chapel. Featuring a selection of gospel, modern and classic rock songs, the concert will feature hits by Queen, Robbie Williams, Norah Jones, Evanescence, and Mika, together with a couple of original songs written by members of the choir themselves. Tickets are only Lm2 each and the concert starts at 7pm.

Symphonik started in 2006 as part of Strummin’ Home, which is another successful yearly ZHN project involving more than 100 youths in its organisation and coordination. Since then, it has grown and developed into a fully-fledged independent choir with its own band, and includes a four-part choir and a seven-piece rock band.
