The MFA senior vice-president is to be selected tomorrow during the first Council sitting of the new administration.

The three persons elected on Saturday for the three posts are former senior vice president, Carmelo Bartolo, Ludovico Micallef, a former vice-president, and newcomer Dr Peter Fenech.

Mr Bartolo is favourite to be named for the post after obtaining the highest number of votes in last Saturday’s election. He polled 85 against the 61 of Ludovico Micallef and the 53 of Dr Peter Fenech.

Before the meeting, at 6pm, a Holy Mass is being celebrated on the occasion of the start of the MFA’s administrative years 2007/2008. Members of the Council and observers are urged to attend.

Moreover, before the start of the meeting, a commemorative picture is being taken and everyone is asked to be punctual.
