Bank of Valletta is sponsoring the first solo exhibition by artist Anton Abela, entitled Inverse Reality. It is being held at The Gallery at Il-Kastell in Tarxien and will be open to the general public until Thursday.

Presenting the Bank’s sponsorship, Carmel Borg, Manager of BOV University Branch congratulated Mr Abela for his talent and innovative artistic technique.

While reading for his Bachelor of Arts degree in the History of Art at the University of Malta, Anton specialised in Medieval Art with a particular focus on Byzantine, Greek Orthodox and Russian idiosyncrasies. During his studies, the artist developed an appreciation for draughtsmanship, form and pure colour, which imbue the works of art displayed in this exhibition. Speaking about the theme of the exhibition, Anton Abela said, “My world is a land of enchantment, mystery, personality, innovation and emotion; a mystical inner content with all the traits which harmonise the more sensitive soul.”
