Malta Independent Thursday, 30 April 2009, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

Due to unforeseen technical difficulties experienced by the ship transporting the fireworks for the foreign pyro-musical display to Malta, the Malta International Fireworks Festival to be held in the Grand Harbour has been moved by 24 hours and will therefore now be held tomorrow and on Saturday. The same scheduled programme applies as before.

Mariners are advised to note the changes in the dates and comply with the instructions promulgated in the MMA Notice to Mariners No 19 of 2009 titled ‘Fireworks Festival in Grand Harbour’ throughout the event.

The public transport will be operating as follows: Friday until 1am and Saturday, until midnight from Valletta bus terminus. Transport by dghajsa will also be available from Vittoriosa and/or Senglea)to Valletta, close to the Old Customs’ House.
