This year Melita is to nearly double its TV line-up, leaving customers spoilt for choice with 150 channels – triple the number of channels currently offered by other local pay TV operators.

Melita recently introduced nine new TV channels, including the highly popular Investigation Discovery, Food Network, Wedding TV, Luxe TV, Body in Balance TV, kids channel Jim Jam, NatGeo Music, Channel One Russia and Film 24.

Melita is now working on introducing many more new TV channels to reach a total of 150 channels by the end of the second quarter of this year.

New channels are to include Jimmy, Lei, Leonardo, I-Concerts, Alice and Nuvolari among many others.

Customers on Melita’s M package will enjoy a choice of 35 local and international channels for the same price they are currently paying of just e7.76 per month.

Melita’s L package is also set to offer more variety with an upgraded channel line-up of 80 channels for e19.99 a month.

Melita will also be launching High Definition as well as Advanced Digital TV services providing the customers with a personalised TV experience and video on demand. The new highly advanced set top box will allow customers to be able to record, pause and rewind live TV at will and make use of a completely newly designed Electronic Programme Guide.

With stunning High Definition quality, viewers will be able to experience television like never before with sharper detail and superb quality sound with Dolby 5.1. HD will bring the viewers closer to sports and music events, documentaries, fashion and entertainment.

Customers on Melita’s Analogue TV package can benefit from these TV upgrades as well as great one-time offers when they switch to Melita’s Digital TV service today.

“2010 will turn out to be a big year for our TV customers with the introduction of High Definition and the superb quality it brings with it, an explosion of content and TV channels as well as a transformation of the viewing experience,” comments Ivor Micallef, Melita’s TV Product Manager.

Throughout February, all Melita Digital TV customers can enjoy the four newest channels, Wedding TV, Food Network, Luxe TV and Body in Balance TV, at no extra cost. As from 1 March, these new channels will be available in the respective appropriate tiers: Wedding TV and Luxe TV available on the L and XL packages, and Food Network and Body in Balance TV available on the XL package.

Food Network, the highly talked-about new cookery channel, is now available only to Melita subscribers.

Wedding TV is well known for reality show style programmes, including the highly popular Marrying Elvis, WAG’s World and Celebrity Brides Unveiled.

Body in Balance TV, winner of Best Lifestyle Channel of 2009, provides an easy approach to a healthy lifestyle that includes yoga, pilates, meditation, dance and cardio workouts, each designed carefully to suit beginners through to advanced practitioners.
