17 July will see 26 girls vying hard for the title of Miss World Malta, which will take place at the Hilton Hotel, in the hope of competing in the Miss World competition later on this year.

The lucky girl will be spending the best part of a month participating in various beauty and fashion competitions with 120 other girls coming from all over the world for the chance to win the much coveted title of being crowned Miss World in October.

The organisers of the competition, Sue Rossi and Claudia Calleja, said that they are very satisfied with this year’s turnout and the high standards of education from the 26 contestants who have participated in various events and activities which were organised throughout the past few months.

“17 July will be the culmination of a week long competition in which all girls will have to pass through a set of challenges under the watchful eye of the judges in the hope of being given the honour of representing Malta at the Miss World competition in China later this year,” said Ms Calleja.

Shanel Debattista represented Malta in last year’s Miss World competition, which was won by Kaiane Aldorino from Gibraltar.
