A group from the Wolves Supporters Club (Malta) were present at Molineux recently to see Wolves play Arsenal and Bolton Wanderers with both matches ending in defeats although they could easily finished all square.

The Gunners won 2-0 with a first minute goal and another one in added time in a match in which Wolves gave as much as they got. Then against Bolton they lost 3-2 after being three goals down but managed to reduce the arrears twice and also had time to equalise.

The day before the Bolton match, the group went on a guided tour of Molineux where they were shown around the stadium from the inside, including the dressing-rooms – ready for the match – the boardroom, the restaurants and the press centre, among others.

They also met Irish striker Kevin Doyle who was voted the club’s top player and was presented with the Player of the Year 2009-10 award prior to the Arsenal match. He won the honour ahead of goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann and defender Jody Craddock.

Picture on right shows Wolves SC president Alfred Camilleri presenting the award to Kevin Doyle together with a book about Malta featuring the history, traditions and culture of our Islands.

The club has also published the sixth issue of the Malta Wolves Magazine and the 2011 calendar.
