Local shooters William Chetcuti and Nathan Lee Xuereb finished in the top six and qualified for the final barrage of the ISSF World Cup double trap competition held last night in Tucson USA.
Until going to print, in the first three rounds William Chetcuti finished second, just one clay behind leader Pter Wilson of Great Britain who hit 148 clays.
William Chetcuti scored 49 in the first round, a straight of 50 in the second and 48 in the third for a total of 147.
Nathan Lee Xuereb is in fifth place with a total of 144. He shot 46 in the first round, 48 in the second and made it with the final six with a straight 50 in the third and final shot.
