This year’s Annual BJ’s Live Music Marathon will start at 6pm tomorrow and will run until 4am on 16 April. President George Abela will launch the annual event, the am of which on the social and cultural side is the preservation of live music as a form of entertainment, and on the philanthropic side to collect money for WOW (Wishing Others Well), the social arm of Paceville’s Millennium Chapel.

This popular music marathon has been held for more than 20 years and over €300,000 has been raised for different charitable causes.

This year’s event will see different veteran and upcoming bands and musicians playing varied styles of live music – from jazz to blues, soul to rock and from pop to Maltese folk.

BJ’s has undergone extensive refurbishment and is equipped with state-of-the-art amplification and instruments to accommodate all types of gigs.

Cash donations will be accepted at the door during the whole event.
