Indian Students on exchange visit

Malta Independent Wednesday, 25 April 2012, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

On 19 April, the High Commission of Malta in New Delhi hosted a group of students and their teachers who arrived in Malta yesterday on the first student exchange visit between the two countries. The students were welcomed to the High Commission and briefed about Malta in general. This was followed by a vibrant interactive session.

In order to ensure the maximum outreach possible, the delegation is comprised of students and teachers from schools located in different parts of India. During their stay in Malta, the delegation will be involved in an academic-cum-cultural exchange with St Martin’s College. The students will also be visiting the University of Malta, where they will be interacting with the students on campus and also attending an academic workshop.

The academic content of the programme has been balanced with a number of cultural and sightseeing tours, including a day-tour to Gozo and to the Three Cities which are being sponsored by the Malta Tourism Authority.

The High Commission envisages that student exchange visits become a permanent feature in its annual calendar of projects and initiatives.
