Three Seriously injured in traffic accidents

Three people were yesterday seriously injured in separate traffic accidents, the police said in statements yesterday.

The first incident took place at 6.15am when a Malian man was knocked off his bicycle in Triq Għar Dalam, Birżebbuġa.

The second incident took place half an hour later in Mrieħel. A Maruti Omni, driven by a 37-year-old from Birkirkara and a Lada Samara being driven by a 59-year-old from San Ġwann collided.

Meanwhile, in the last incident, a 68-year-old Żabbar man was grievously injured after also being knocked off his bicycle yesterday late afternoon. The incident occurred on Żabbar Road, Fgura.

Police said that the Malian man, the Maruti driver and the Żabbar man were all seriously injured, but are not in a critical condition.

The police are investigating.
