PL Says government is playing musical chairs

The GonziPN style of leadership, favouring those in its clique, continues unbridled, and persons who fail in one sector, instead of being removed, are merely transferred to other positions, Labour MP Helena Dalli, party spokesperson for the public sector, said.

She said a clear case of this musical chairs system reserved for the blue-eyed, is that of Eng. Karl Camilleri. He resigned from CEO at Enemalta after the scandal of the Mercaptan incident and after criticism of profligate spending and poor management.

Mr Camilleri has found himself in another important position, Ms Dalli said – that of project administration at the MCCA. Was Malta so short of able people that every time the government did not find anyone it could trust, it would appoint the same people who are removed because of incompetent, to other responsibilities? Ms Dalli wondered.
