The nurses and midwives union, the MUMN yesterday withdrew directives to its members not to provide any service on ambulances run by the private contractor.

It said the directives have been withdrawn after an agreement with the health ministry on the safety of the ambulance fleet.

Details of the agreement would be given later, the union said.
