Further to its success in training Sixth Form students in the art of debating and public speaking, the English Speaking Union of Malta is now proud to announce the imminent launch of its ‘Discover Your Voice’ tutoring sessions. This educational programme forms part of the ESU’s international drive in nurturing effective communication skills throughout the world.
This year, younger students will be targeted in an attempt to foster the orators of future generations. The techniques used in the programme will help advance the elocutionary abilities of all students and develop confidence in themselves. Each session, given by specially-trained ESU tutors, will instruct the students on how to prepare, write and effectively speak in public by including enjoyable practical sessions.
A maximum of four grades, starting from Form 1 till Form 4, in eight schools will benefit from this course, which will culminate in a Public Speaking Soiree to be held in December. Applications for this programme will only be accepted from schools. The sessions, which will commence this October, are open to private, church and state schools.
These workshops are being organised under the patronage of the Ministry of Education and Employment.
