KISS On DAB+

 - Sunday, 16 September 2012, 00:00

Times change, and so is our way of communicating with each other. Today communication is sent and received in different ways using different methods. We are living in a digital era where listening to the radio is also going through radical changes.

Although radio remains mainly analogue worldwide, over the past year or so the medium has seen a surge in progress towards digital reception.

ONE Productions Limited is taking this opportunity to extend its message to the digital platform DAB+, with KISS, a new DAB+ radio station as from Friday.

KISS is mainly for the young and young at heart, but not only. It is a 24/7 radio station playing only music with a comprehensive playlist of over 30,000 tunes from all decades, artists and music genres.

KISS will also entertain its listeners with classified music shows at different time slots, featuring niche selections from the Golden Oldies to country music, to the 70s, 80s and 90’s.

KISS will also provide its listeners with news, weather and sport updates on the hour, every hour from 7am to 7pm throughout the week from Monday to Sunday.

KISS operates as a fully automated radio station playing only music and no talk. Its corporate identity comprising its sweepers, jingles, special station idents and other seasoned sung jingles have been exclusively produced and designed for KISS at a US based recording studio specialising in modern radio station productions.

KISS on DAB+ (Digital Audio Broadcast) guarantees excellent sound of much higher quality and reception as well as an RDS facility with name of station, song and artist displayed on DAB+ radio sets while you listen.

With penetration and listenership on the increase, KISS on DAB+ can be accessed along with all other analogue local radio stations including ONE Radio, and other main digital European radio stations including RAI and the BBC World service on DAB radio sets easily accessible on the local market as well as on www.one.com.mt , www.di-ve.com via internet, or through the digital television platform. Recently, several car manufacturers are including DAB+ in their new models.
