A construction worker suffered grievous injuries and is in danger of losing his life after falling down a shaft in Attard.

The police said that at around 1pm they were informed that a 58-year-old man from Attard had fallen from a height of four storeys in building undergoing renovation, in Mdina Road.

Duty Magisrtate Claire Stafrace Zammit has ordered an inquiry.
