MSV Life will be the lead sponsor of the 2013 Malta Music Awards (MMA). This music event which was first organized in Malta in 1995, will this year take place at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre (MFCC) in Ta’ Qali next Sunday.
The organizers of this year’s edition of the Malta Music Awards will provide a spectacular show on a national platform by promoting this event as the official music awards ceremony. A music weekender is being organised by the Public Broadcasting Services (PBS) starting with the Malta Eurovision Song Contest on 1 and 2 February and ending with the Malta Music Awards on 3 February.
A total of 11 awards will be presented during the evening, eight of which will be competitive and have been judged by a panel of music critics. The other three awards have been selected through international recognition and newcomer status.
Presenting the sponsorship, MSV Life Senior Executive Joanna Azzopardi said, “We are indeed very honoured to be associated with such a prestigious event in the local music scene. The Malta Music Awards provide an excellent opportunity for upcoming and also established artists and bands to be recognized and rewarded for their talent and efforts. MSV Life’s contribution towards the Malta Music Awards is an endorsement to the increasing popularity of local talent and to the importance which music plays in people’s lives.”
Noel Magri, Co-Organiser of the Malta Music Awards, added how, “It is thanks to the backing and support from corporate companies such as MSV Life that an event of this calibre may be organized. Events such as the Malta Music Awards also help to boost success in music beyond the local boundaries”.
MSV Life has also launched a Facebook campaign connected with this event. Up to 31 January visitors to MSV Life’s Facebook site have the opportunity to claim free tickets to the Malta Music Awards on 3 February 2013. Terms and conditions apply and may be found at www.facebook.com/msvlife
