PN warns Malta Today to retract story or face legal action

Malta Independent Monday, 4 February 2013, 14:28 Last update: about 11 years ago

PN secretary general Paul Borg Olivier denied claims made on Sunday by Malta Today, that the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre has written off debts of €1 million, to the PN.

In a letter to Malta Today editor Saviour Balzan, Dr Borg Olivier also denied that Zaren Vassallo or any other company in which he might have financial interests has contributed €350,000 for the party’s campaign.

The PN secretary general remarked that the party hires the services offered by MFCC as well as other suppliers to organise its activities. He added that these services are either offered against payment or through a barter agreement, as is the norm with both political parties.

Dr Borg Olivier warned that if this story is not immediately retracted, the party will reserve the right to take legal action.
