Daddy Augustine Okeke, 33, a Nigerian former football player residing at Bugibba, was arraigned and charged with the possession and trafficking of cocaine. He was caught in 2007 with 960 grammes of the drug.

Okeke is a former player of Naxxar Lions and Lija Athletics.

Two men have been arraigned before in connection with the case. Magistrate Doreen Clarke rejected a request for bail made by defence counsel Joanne Vella Cuschieri.
