New premises for breast care support group

Malta Independent Thursday, 28 February 2013, 11:48 Last update: about 11 years ago

Europadonna Breast Care Support Group has consistently sought to maintain the patient at the centre of all its scope and all its activity, Health Minister Joe Cassar said this morning.

Speaking at the opening of the new premises in Floriana, Dr Cassar said all efforts drew upon and around the needs of individual patients, across the country. The NGO itself and its officials or its premises always stood at a secondary place. In fact it is only now, after years in existence that appropriate premises are being inaugurated, despite being deserved for a while.

Such clear consistent central focus on addressing the needs of the patient is clearly the reason of the success of this NGO.

Europadonna Breast Care Support Group has also always sought to collaborate and co-operate with the central government. With a significant loud and strong voice, the NGO has knocked at government’s door along the years, with complaints, concerns, ideas, and recommendations. In turn, the government has approached you and tapped into its resources many times too.

Whenever the Government asked for the NGO’s contribution, the response was always a professional and generous one. The outcome has always been a symbiotic partnership towards a common goal, which is, effectively addressing the needs of the patients during some of the most difficult times.

Present for the opening was Fair Competition Minister Jason Azzopardi.
