Pay GO bills and top up mobile cards at a MaltaPay one-stop kiosk

Malta Independent Thursday, 13 June 2013, 17:15 Last update: about 11 years ago

GO customers can now pay their telecom bills or top up their mobile credit from one of the MaltaPay payment kiosks situated in various localities across Malta. The MaltaPay kiosks are innovative, convenient and one of the quickest ways to pay for services.

The MaltaPay one-stop payment kiosk is the brainchild of Vera Boyajyan and the first project of her Malta-based company – Mobile Systems – set up some five years ago. The company hopes to expand its network to other European countries.

MaltaPay kiosks are user-friendly, very practical – and just so easy to use.  Topping up mobile credit has never been simpler using a MaltaPay kiosk. All it involves is choosing the service – in this case by pressing the mobile icon and then selecting your service provider (in this case ‘GO’) from the range visible on the screen, enter your mobile number and then press ‘next’, after which you insert your coins (or notes) and then collect the receipt. And that’s about it! Your mobile is topped up to the full amount paid. Within a few minutes you receive an SMS confirming the amount of credit top up.

It is just as quick and hassle free when it comes to paying GO bills using PayMalta one-stop kiosks. GO customers just need to select the service they require, press the correct icon from the list that shows up on the screen and then follow the simple on-screen instructions very much in line with the guidelines for mobile credit top-ups given above – but with a slight difference. Customers need to have their bill with them to scan the barcode as part of the payment procedure. Paying bills involves a small service charge of just 40c  over and above the actual amount of the bill itself.

Speaking about the MaltaPay bill payment kiosks following the agreement signed between GO and Mobile Systems Ltd, Sandro Gauci, Senior Manager from GO’s consumer team said: “The power of consumer demand for convenience and time-saving solutions is continually driving innovation and as a result automated kiosks become smarter by the day.”

“Since its inception in 2012, the MaltaPay payment kiosk has become more and more on demand as a cost-effective way to meet customers in a convenient location – precisely where they live, work and shop. By means of our partnership with Mobile Systems we are giving our customers the opportunity to make use of this excellent bill payment option via MaltaPay kiosks that are being deployed in supermarkets and in retail locations around the island,” he said.

“We are delighted to welcome GO to our ever-growing family of utility and service providers in Malta. There is no doubt that GO customers will love the added convenience and enjoy quick access to bill payment services as well as the enhanced customer service experience. MaltaPay kiosks are so easy to use, GO customers too will be using them all the time!” said Vera Boyajyan, CEO of Mobile Systems.
