Helena Christensen, the 44-year-old famous Danish fashion model, has joined hands with the non-governmental organization Oxfam Italia to design a limited-edition range of Hello Kitty T-shirts.

Exclusively available at the Coin stores in Italy, the T-shirts feature a stylized version of the fictional adorable bobcat, replete with a Swarovski embedded red bow on her newly-fashioned golden locks.

All proceeds from the sale of the collection will go to international women's rights supporting fund raising project Change, which is currently engaged with the aim to bring 80,000 people out of poverty by the end of year 2013.

Created by Japanese designer Yuko Shimizu, Hello Kitty was first released by the Tokyo-based stationery goods specialist Sanrio in 1974.

Established in 1976, Oxfam Italia works for poverty stricken people and also creates awareness among media and public through various demonstration projects.
