All eyes are on Brazilian model Fernanda Lima on the eve of the draw for the World Cup finals to be held in Bahia, Friday, at 5pm Central European time.
Fernanda Lima will be assisted by actor Rodrigo Hilbert. With big names from the Brazilian music world such as Margareth Menezes, Olodum and Emicida having already agreed to perform, the Final Draw show which takes place at Costa do Sauipe, promises to be quite an event, the FIFA website reports.
The draw has already created controversy as in an unprecedented move, FIFA announced that there will be a pre-draw to pick one of the nine unseeded European team to place it into Pot 2 — sure to face two high-ranked opponents from Europe and South America.
The evening’s entertainment will give fans around the world a taste of everything Brazil has offer and of what they can expect when the biggest show in world football takes place next year, from 12 June to 13 July. The Official Slogan is All in One Rhythm, which sums up the essence of the five key traits that make Brazil what it is, two of which are a cohesive society and a land of happiness. The team of performers and presenters that will appear at the Final Draw has been put together with these two traits in mind.
The draw procedures itself will start around 5.45pm Malta time and will last for approximately 35 minutes.
Fernanda Lima and Rodrigo Hilbert have worked together before, teaming up to host the launch event of the Official Emblem of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Johannesburg in 2010, while the actress also presented the FIFA World Cup Preliminary Draw in Rio de Janeiro in July 2011.
