I would abstain from Civil Unions vote because of the gay adoption clause – Mallia

Malta Independent Sunday, 6 April 2014, 10:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

PN MEP candidate MEP hopeful thinks that the gay adoption issue has not been studied enough and as such feels that MPs should have more information in hand before approving this new concept. In an interview that will be published tomorrow in The Malta Independent, Mr Mallia says that Civil Unions and gay adoptions should not be in the same Bill of law and, as such, if he were an MP he would abstain from voting on the current version of the Bill.

In the interview, the PN candidate also speaks about the direct orders controversy, the sectors he would like to work in once a member of the European Parliament and insists that, despite perceptions, he is very much a people person.
