The European People’s Party candidate for the post of European Commissioner, Jean-Claude Juncker, will be joining the Nationalist Party on its campaign trail on 2 May, The Malta Independent has learnt.

Mr Juncker is currently visiting European countries to promote his candidature as well as to urge the public to vote for candidates of political parties within the group.

The activities for the day are still to be finalised but it is expected that Mr Juncker addresses a PN activity on the day before he flies to Cyprus.
