A record number of 4,500 people visited the Fiera l-Kbira, at Montekristo Estates, in its first few hours yesterday evening.     

The fair, which was officially launched by President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca yesterday afternoon,  offers visitors a choice of 230 exhibitors. 

In her official address, the President said that such fairs provide opportunities both for exhibitors and the general public.  She also thanked Expo Events, Polidano Group and MKIC Ltd, for their decision to donate all parking fees to the Malta Community Chest Fund.   The President praised such initiatives saying that we should all contribute to strengthen solidarity within the community. 

The fair is being organised by Expo Events and provides several entertainment options such as shows by the Montekristo Equestrian Club, the kids Fun Park, sand modelling, and others. 

The general public is also being invited to follow the world cup games at the same venue in a great atmosphere. 

Il-Fiera l-Kbira is being held at Montekristo Estates till Sunday 20th July from 6.30pm - 11pm.
