The Libyan-Maltese Chamber of Commerce today expressed its concern about the recent escalation of violence and unrest in Libya that results in loss of lives, huge infrastructural damage and a negative effect on business between the two countries.
The damage caused to Tripoli airport is also a matter of great concern for the chamber, it said in a statement.
The chamber said it is assisting its members by regularly providing them with information. It said it is monitoring the situation on a daily basis and is in contact with the government on the situation.
The chamber supports initiatives such as the setting up of a crisis centre and hoped that Libya will soon start to reap the fruits of the democratic process the country embarked upon.
